We have two different venues in France for the 2020 season

 – a Chateau and a Gite

The Chateau

Your home-away-from-home will be in a lovely chateau begun in the 1700’s, in the valley under the watchful gaze of the village of Calvignac, in the Lot Region of SW France.

The chateau, recently renovated, is pristine and modern, with a gourmet kitchen, laundry facility, and heated swimming pool. Twenty five acres of grounds surround the chateau and provide areas to wander, contemplate, create, or chat with friends. Roses and other native plants abound, including several orchards of walnut trees. Above us, the medieval village of Calvignac perches on the hilltop and provides a Bistro for refreshment after a hike and vista views of the valley below.

All bedrooms are en suite and large enough to comfortably accommodate 2, and sometimes 3, artists. There are two separate large sitting areas in which to gather and relax. There’s even a billiard table! Wi-Fi is available and works best in the common area.

The Ivy House Gite in Larnagol

This year we are hosting our week-long Chemin de Jacques Compostelle hike in the Lot while staying at a comfortable and charming gite in the Village of Larnagol.

The Ivy House is built on a hillside in the village of Larnagol, overlooking the Lot River in the Lot region of SW France. This is a small and friendly village, full of charm and amicable folk.

The accommodations are simple, clean and comfortable. This gite is perfect for down-to-earth people who do not require pampering. There are stairs up and down to the various levels and rooms, so the ability to handle stairs is imperative.

There is a quiet terrace from which you can watch the river meander by below, as well as charming streets that wander up through the village.

Our hostess, Janie, lives directly next door and will be a part of your holiday by way of meals, answering questions and making recommendations. She may even teach you some French!
