Painters’ Week in France at the Chateau – Nov 1-7, 2020

This is a special offering by invitation only, for those artists and guests who have previously attended a Lisa’s Gryphon Art Workshop in either France or Italy. You can leave your name on the wait-list below for the possibility of an opening or for the next “Painters’ Week.” (tba)

Leading a Lisa’s Gryphon European workshop is a wonderful opportunity to experience life in a different country – you see the sights, eat the food, meet the locals…but it’s also a lot of work!

This week is just for you! You bring your paints, pencils, easels, and camera and spend the week creating your OWN artwork in the beautiful Lot Region of SW France. And guess what? You can bring your partner for a minimal cost!

This is a self-directed week. There are no classes to teach, just a few like-minded artists who are also here to paint and relax.

The rate is ridiculously low, since we will all be sharing the chateau.

A few things will be different, however. Instead of our regular chef, Philippe, we will take turns creating meals for the group. Each artist or couple will be responsible for providing and preparing the dinner one evening for the entire group of 10-12 people. Breakfasts and lunches will be your own individual responsibility and you can lay in your supplies in one of the two fridges. I will provide the first night’s meal and we will schedule the others after you arrive.

Additionally, you will be responsible for your own rental car, for day-tripping around the area as you desire. Since most of you have previously flown into Toulouse, you can pick one up at the airport upon your arrival and return it there before your departure. It’s simple.

There IS also a small possibility that I can pick a few people up at the airport on Saturday morning, the 2nd of May, after I return another group of artists back to the airport at 10 am, but I am not expecting to be a transporter for this week – like you, I will be a painter.

This is a great opportunity to create, chill, restore and nourish your beautiful artists’ selves and I cannot wait to hang out with you lovely people! Ahhhhhhh…..
